The custom-homebuilding tradition of Samuelsen Builders began in the early 1900s when a Norwegian shipbuilder named Samuelsen arrived in New York City, bringing with him the skills needed to become a master homebuilder. His son followed the family trade, building custom homes in Connecticut as George Samuelsen & Sons for three decades. In the next generation, one of the “sons,” Richard Samuelsen, continued the building legacy with the founding of Samuelsen Builders.
Today, Richard and his son Rick carry on the family tradition, building homes of quality, custom craftsmanship for families throughout the Tampa Bay area. During the past 15 years, Samuelsen Builders has built custom homes in 63 Bay Area communities. The distinctive homes combine their traditional “hands-on” workmanship with today’s most innovative designs, engineering practices, latest products and brands.
As you might imagine, Samuelsen Builders maintains a deep-rooted passion for the highest quality construction, and father and son personally oversee the building of every Samuelsen home. With wife Thelma and son-in-law Mike Ryan also a part of the team, a member of the Samuelsen family is actively involved in every aspect of the building process, from homesite selection to initial home design through final walkthrough.
With an independently insured, limited 15-year warranty program offering outstanding service and quality control, Samuelsen Builders stands behind your home—with a commitment that goes back generations.
