The
Champions’ Club names general contractors
March 21, 2003
TRINITY, FLA. – The
Champions’ Club recently appointed Gigliotti Contracting North Inc. and Wal
Den Greene Developers Inc. as general contractors for the gated golf course
community of The Champions’ Club in southwest Pasco County.
Gigliotti Contracting and Wal Den Greene are responsible for all site work,
road construction and utilities installation in The Champions’ Club, says
Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc., the community’s
developer.
Gigliotti Contracting was established in 1998 by Joseph Gigliotti. The firm
specializes in site development and homesite preparation. Based in New Port
Richey, Fla., Gigliotti Contracting has worked on several Tampa Bay area
communities including Tampa Palms.
Based in Port Richey, Fla., Wal Den Greene was founded in 1987. This
land-development firm has helped create communities throughout west central
Florida including the master-planned community of Wilderness Lake Preserve
in Land O’ Lakes, Fla.
The Champions’ Club overlooks the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox
Hollow Golf Club. More than half its 368 homesites will border the golf
course, while many others will overlook lakes or heavily wooded conservation
areas. Residential pricing will range from the $400s to more than $2 million
including homesite.
The Champions’ Club will comprise seven Mediterranean-themed villages. Homes
in some villages must provide at least 2,700 square feet of living space,
while other villages require homes with a minimum of 3,500 square feet of
living space.
Homes in The Champions’ Club will be built by some of the best-known home
builders in the Tampa Bay area. Land work is slated for completion early
this spring, while new-home construction should begin by mid-April.
The Champions’ Club will feature a $2 million, 10,000-square-foot,
Mediterranean-style clubhouse, which will provide a lounge, dining room,
fully equipped fitness center, his-and-her locker facilities, a resort-style
pool, sun deck, and tennis courts. Community activities will be coordinated
by a club concierge.
Fox Hollow Golf Club opened in 1994. Its golf course is the last one
designed and built by world-renowned golf-course architect Robert Trent
Jones Sr. The Tampa Tribune has rated Fox Hollow as one of the top-three
courses in the Tampa Bay area. Fox Hollow has hosted several USGA and Senior
PGA qualifying tournaments.
The Champions’ Club adjoins the $1.5 billion master-planned community of
Trinity, one of the largest communities of its kind in the Tampa Bay area.
Trinity also is being developed by Adam Smith Enterprises.
