Sprinkle named engineer for The Champions’ Club
March 28, 2003
TRINITY, FLA. – Sprinkle Consulting Inc. has been selected to perform all
engineering, land design and infrastructure planning for the exclusive
gated, golf-course community of The Champions’ Club in southwest Pasco
County.
Sprinkle’s focus will be to create a community that complements the
adjoining 18-hole championship golf course at the Fox Hollow Golf Club, as
well as protecting existing conservation areas and lakes, says Dan Aldridge,
vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc., the community’s developer.
Moreover, Sprinkle will oversee acquisition of all county and other
regulatory permitting needed to develop this community.
Founded in 1980 by Robert Sprinkle, Tampa-based Sprinkle Consulting is a
land-planning and engineering firm. It has designed numerous Tampa Bay-area
residential communities and commercial properties including portions of the
$1.5 billion master-planned community of Trinity – adjoining The Champions’
Club – and Woodland Square shopping plaza in Oldsmar.
More than half of the 368 homesites in The Champions’ Club will border
the golf course, while many others will overlook lakes or heavily wooded
conservation areas in the community. Residential pricing will range from
the $400s to more than $2 million including homesite.
The Champions’ Club will comprise seven Mediterranean-themed villages.
Homes in several villages require at least 2,700 square feet of living
space, while the minimum requirement in other villages is 3,500 square feet
of living space.
Homes in The Champions’ Club will be built by some of the best-known home
builders in the Tampa Bay area. Land work here is slated for completion
early this spring, while new-home construction should start by mid-April.
The Champions’ Club will feature a $2 million 10,000-square-foot,
Mediterranean-style clubhouse, which will provide a lounge, dining room,
fully equipped fitness center, his-and-her locker facilities, a resort-style
pool, sun deck, and tennis courts. A comprehensive program of activities –
including catered events – will be coordinated by a club concierge.
Fox Hollow Golf Club opened in 1994. Its course is the last one designed
and built by world-renowned golf-course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr.
The Tampa Tribune has rated Fox Hollow as one of the top-three courses in
the Tampa Bay area. Fox Hollow has hosted several USGA and Senior PGA
qualifying tournaments.
