Samuelsen chosen to build in Champions' Club
June 12, 2003
TRINITY, FLA. - Samuelsen Builders has been chosen to offer its selection of
exe-cutive residences in Marabella, a village in the private, golf course
community of The Champions' Club in southwest Pasco County.
According to Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc.,
the community's developer, Samuelsen's 10 floor plans here will range from
2,700 to 4,900 square feet of living space with prices starting in the low
$300s including homesite.
This family owned home-building company was founded by Richard Samuelsen
nearly 50 years ago. The firm has built homes in more than 60 communities
throughout the Tampa Bay area including more than 500 residences in the $1.5
billion master-planned community of Trinity, which adjoins The Champions'
Club.
The firm has won several residential design awards including best in show
during Tampa Bay-area parade of homes competitions.
The community overlooks the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox Hollow
Golf Club. More than half of this community's 368 homesites will border the
golf course, while many others will adjoin lakes or heavily wooded
conservation areas. Fox Hollow Golf Club opened in 1994. Its golf
course is the last one designed and built by world-renowned golf-course
architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Tampa Tribune has rated Fox Hollow as
one of the top-three courses in the Tampa Bay area. Fox Hollow has hosted
several USGA and Senior PGA qualifying tournaments.
The Champions' Club will comprise seven Mediterranean-themed villages. Homes
in some villages must provide at least 2,700 square feet of living space,
while other villages require homes with a minimum of 3,500 square feet of
living space. Residential pricing will range from the $400s to more than $2
million including homesite.
Homes in The Champions' Club will be built by some of the best-known
home-building companies in the Tampa Bay area. Land work here is nearly
complete, and new-home construction should begin soon.
The Champions' Club will feature a $2 million, 10,000-square-foot,
Mediterranean-style clubhouse that will provide an intimate lounge, dining
room, fully equipped fitness center, his-and-her locker facilities, a
resort-style pool, sun deck, and tennis courts. Community activities here
will be coordinated by a club concierge.
