Greene Builders chosen for The Champions’ Club
June 19, 2003
TRINITY, FLA. – Greene Builders Inc. has been selected to offer its
residential designs in Marabella, one of the seven Mediterranean-themed
villages in The Champions’ Club, an exclusive, gated golf-course community
in southwest Pasco County.
According to Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc.,
the community’s developer, Greene’s three residential designs here will
range from 2,800 to 3,153 square feet of living space, and will be priced
from the high $300s including home-site. Two of the designs are making
their debut at The Champions’ Club, he adds.
Greene will build two model homes: the 3,030-square-foot, three-bedroom,
three-bath Sanibel, and the 3,153-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-bath
Seville.
Greene – based in New Port Richey, Fla. – is a second-generation family
owned firm celebrating its 50th year in business. Greene has built and
designed homes in dozens of communities throughout Florida. It also has won
numerous awards from the Pasco Building Association’s home parades,
including best in show.
The Champions’ Club overlooks the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox
Hollow Golf Club, which opened in 1994. Its golf course is the last one
designed and built by world-renowned golf-course architect Robert Trent
Jones Sr. The Tampa Tribune has rated Fox Hollow as one of the top-three
courses in the Tampa Bay area. Fox Hollow has hosted several USGA and
Senior PGA qualifying tournaments.
More than half of this community’s 368 homesites will border the golf
course, while many others will overlook lakes or heavily wooded conservation
areas.
Residences in some of the villages at The Champions’ Club must provide at
least 2,700 square feet of living space, while other villages require homes
with a minimum of 3,500 square feet of living space. Residential pricing
will range from about $400,000 to more than $2 million including homesite.
Homes in The Champions’ Club will be built by some of the best-known
home-building companies in the Tampa Bay area. Land work here is nearly
complete, and new-home construction should begin soon.
The Champions’ Club will feature a $2 million, 10,000-square-foot,
Mediterranean-style clubhouse that will provide a lounge, dining room, fully
equipped fitness center, his-and-her locker facilities, a resort-style pool,
sun deck, and tennis courts. Community activities here will be coordinated
by a club concierge.
