Arthur Rutenberg Homes starts model home
July 22, 2003
TRINITY, FLA. - Arthur Rutenberg Homes - through its Catenac-Gulfwynd
franchise - has begun building the 3,200-square-foot Bonaire model home in
The Champions' Club, an exclusive, golf-course community in southwest Pasco
County.
According to Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc.,
the community's developer, this four-bedroom, three-bath model - in the
village of Salano - will include such options as a gas-heated pool and spa,
and a bonus room with a cabana and wet bar. Also featured will be an outdoor
fireplace and kitchen, as well as recessed ceilings with crown molding, and
ceramic-tile floors in all living areas.
The model is priced at $705,000 including homesite.
The first thing guests will notice after stepping through the Bonaire's
double front doors will be the expansive view of the pool and lanai provided
by the pocketing sliding glass doors in the 13-by-18-foot living room. To
one side of the room is a pair of french doors opening into a den with
hardwood floors, while on the other side is the dining room.
Also adjoining the living room is a master suite with his-and-her closets,
as well as a bath with twin vanities, a garden Jacuzzi tub and separate
shower. Both the living room and master suite boast recessed ceilings.
A french door from the master suite opens to the lanai, also shared by
sliding glass doors that open into an 18-by-19-foot leisure room with a
built-in entertainment center. The secondary bedrooms, as well as the bonus
room with a cabana, can be reached from the leisure room, which is open to
the island kitchen and breakfast area.
The kitchen features a rounded, bi-level breakfast bar and granite
countertops, while a corner window in the breakfast area provides a wide
view of the lanai and pool.
The Bonaire is one of 15 Arthur Rutenberg designs offered in Salano. These
floor plans range from 2,700 to 4,000 square feet of living space, and are
priced from the $400s including homesite. The model is expected to open
early next year.
The Champions' Club overlooks the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox
Hol-low Golf Club, which opened in 1994. The course is the last one designed
and built by world-renowned golf-course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr.
More than half of this community's 368 homesites will border the golf
course, while many others will overlook lakes or heavily wooded conservation
areas.
The Champions' Club will comprise seven Mediterranean-themed villages. Homes
in some villages must provide at least 2,700 square feet of living space,
while other villages require homes with a minimum of 3,500 square feet of
living space. Residential pricing will range from the $400s to more than $2
million including homesite.
The community will feature a $2 million, 10,000-square-foot,
Mediterranean-style clubhouse that will provide an intimate lounge, dining
room, fully equipped fitness center, his-and-her locker facilities, a
resort-style pool, sun deck, and tennis courts.
