Greene begins models at The Champions’ Club
August 18, 2003

TRINITY, FLA. – Greene Builders has broken ground on a pair of Mediterranean-influenced model homes in The Champions’ Club, a private, golf-course community in southwest Pasco County.

Priced at about $425,000 including homesite, the 3,145-square-foot, four-bedroom Seville and three-bedroom, 3,031-square-foot Valencia floor plans are being built in the village of Marabella.

According to Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises, which deve-lops The Champions’ Club, columns and brick pavers accent the Seville’s double front doors. From the foyer, an expansive view of the pool and lanai is provided by triple-panel sliding glass doors on the far wall of the 19-by-20-foot living room ahead. The living room features a tray ceiling and offers access to the nearby dining area and study.

Also situated off the living room, the 15-by-19-foot master suite is crowned by a recessed ceiling and boasts a bay window overlooking the lanai. It also provides his-and-her walk-in closets and a master bath with marble countertops and a ceramic-tile floor.

Across the living room from the master suite, the island kitchen features granite countertops, a ceramic-tile floor and Viking appliances. The kitchen also is open to the family room with ceramic-tile floor and sliding glass doors overlooking the lanai.

Upon entering the Valencia, guests will find french doors leading to the study on one side, while a column-accented entry leads to the living room directly ahead. Featuring a tray ceiling and ceramic-tile floor, the living room provides a view of the pool and lanai through 12 feet of 8-foot-high sliding glass doors.

A pair of arched entries off the living room leads to a dining area with recessed ceiling. The nearby island kitchen features a ceramic-tile floor, Viking appliances and granite countertops. The adjoining breakfast area is highlighted by a circular, mitered-glass window overlooking the pool.

The breakfast area is open to a family room with ceramic-tile floor, 8-foot-high sliding glass doors and three 8-foot-high windows on the far wall.

On the opposite side of the house, the master suite features a tray ceiling and his-and-her walk-in closets. The master bath offers a garden tub and marble countertops.

The Champions’ Club overlooks the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox Hollow Golf Club, which opened in 1994. The golf course is the last one designed and built by world-renowned golf-course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr.

More than half of this community’s 368 homesites will border the golf course, while many others will overlook lakes or heavily wooded conservation areas.

The Champions’ Club will comprise seven Mediterranean-themed villages. Homes in some villages must provide at least 2,700 square feet of living space, while other villages require homes with a minimum of 3,500 square feet of living space. Residential pricing will range from the $400s to more than $2 million including homesite.
