Land work complete in Champions’ Club villages
August 27, 2003

TRINITY, FLA. – All site work, road construction and utility installation is complete in four villages at the private, golf-course community of The Champions’ Club in southwest Pasco County.

With land development finished in the villages of Cielo, Floresta, Marabella and Salano, model-home construction is under way, says Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc., the community’s developer.

Land work was performed by Wal Den Greene Developers. Based in Port Richey, Fla., Wal Den Greene was founded in 1987. This land-development firm has helped create communities throughout west central Florida.

Residences in Cielo, Marabella and Salano must have at least 2,700 square feet of living space, while homes in Floresta must offer a minimum of 3,500 square feet of living space. Prices range from about $400,000 to more than $2 million including homesite.

The Champions’ Club was conceived to take advantage of the adjoining 18-hole championship golf course at the Fox Hollow Golf Club, while protecting existing conservation areas and lakes.
The golf course opened in 1994, and is the last one designed and built by world-renowned golf-course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Tampa Tribune has rated Fox Hollow as one of the top-three courses in the Tampa Bay area.

More than half of this community’s 368 homesites will border the golf course, while many others will overlook lakes or heavily wooded conservation areas.

Homes in The Champions’ Club will be built by Bayfair Homes, Campagna Homes, Costanza Homes, Greene Builders, M/I Homes, Nohl Crest Homes, Arthur Rutenberg Homes and Samuelsen Builders.

The Champions’ Club will feature a Mediterranean-style clubhouse that will provide an intimate lounge, dining room, fully equipped fitness center, his-and-her locker facilities, a resort-style pool, sun deck, and tennis courts. Community activities here will be coordinated by a club concierge.

The Champions’ Club adjoins the $1.5 billion master-planned community of Trinity, one of the largest communities of its kind in the Tampa Bay area. Trinity also is being developed by Adam Smith Enterprises.
