Samuelsen starts models in The Champions’ Club
September 11, 2003
TRINITY, FLA. – Samuelsen Builders has begun building two
Mediterranean-themed model homes in Marabella, a gated village at The
Champion’s Club, a private golf-course community in southwest Pasco County.
Samuelsen’s 4,156-square-foot Oslo and 3,140-square-foot Kristen models are
four-bedroom designs with second-floor bonus rooms and three-car garages,
says Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises, the community’s
developer. The exteriors of both homes are accented with columns and arches,
as well as brick- and stone-paved entries.
Basic Oslo and Kristen floor plans are priced from $490,000 and $395,000
including golf-course homesite, respectively.
Double front doors open into the Oslo’s foyer, which reveals an expansive
view of the pool and lanai area through a window on the far wall of the
living room. To one side of the foyer, the dining area is crowned by a tray
ceiling, while french doors on the other side of the foyer lead to a den.
Off the living room, the 14-by-24-foot master suite also has a tray ceiling,
his-and-her walk-in closets, and a bay window overlooking the pool. A french
door provides direct access to the lanai.
Across the living room from the master suite, the island kitchen provides
granite countertops, a ceramic-tile floor and custom wood cabinets. The
adjoining breakfast area is highlighted by a mitered-glass window and a view
of the pool.
The kitchen is open to a 17-by-24-foot family room with recessed ceiling and
pocketing sliding glass doors that overlook the lanai.
Upstairs, the game room – with bar and half bath – provides access to the
home theater and children’s retreat ... all with vaulted ceilings.
Meanwhile, the first thing guests to the Kristen will see is the
14-by-16-foot living room that provides a wide view of the lanai and pool
via 8-foot-high sliding glass doors. Adjoining the living room, the dining
area features a double-stepped tray ceiling.
Also open to the living room, the island kitchen offers granite countertops,
a ceramic-tile floor and maple cabinetry. Pocketing sliding glass doors in
the nearby family room provide access to the lanai.
Across the lanai from the family room, the master suite also has sliding
glass doors opening to the lanai. Featuring a tray ceiling and his-and-her
walk-in closets, the suite also has a master bath with garden tub, separate
vanities and cultured marble countertops.
The Champions’ Club overlooks the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox
Hollow Golf Club, which opened in 1994. The golf course is the last one
designed and built by world-renowned golf-course architect Robert Trent
Jones Sr.
More than half of the 368 homesites here border the golf course, while
others over-look lakes or wooded conservation areas. Home prices range from
the $400s to more than $2 million including homesite.
