Contract signed for elaborate community gates

TRINITY, FLA. – Krogmann Iron & Sculptures has been selected to design and handcraft ornate, one-ton iron gates for entrances to the Mediterranean-style clubhouse and seven private villages at The Champions’ Club – an exclusive golf-course community in southwest Pasco County.

According to Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc., the community’s developer, each of the nine 30-foot-wide gates will be 10-12 feet high. Moreover, each gate will boast a unique design reflecting the community’s Mediterranean theme.

Founded in 1992, Krogmann, based in St. Petersburg, Fla., has a staff of artists and finishers who have crafted iron gates and staircases for private residences throughout Florida. The company also has produced artwork for corporate clients including Proctor & Gamble and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

In addition to iron, Krogmann’s artists work with a variety of artistic media including marble, clay, bronze, wood and fiberglass resin.

The Champions’ Club overlooks the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox
Hollow Golf Club, which opened in 1994. The course is the last one designed and built by world-renowned golf-course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Tampa Tribune has rated Fox Hollow as one of the top-three courses in the Tampa Bay area.

More than half of this community’s 368 homesites will border the golf course, while many others will overlook lakes or heavily wooded conservation areas.

Homes in some villages must provide at least 2,700 square feet of living space, while other villages require homes with a minimum of 3,500 square feet of living space. Residential pricing will range from the $400s to more than $2 million including homesite.

Land work here is nearly complete and model homes are under construction.

Homes in The Champions’ Club will be built by Bayfair Homes, Campagna Homes, Costanza Homes, Greene Builders, M/I Homes, Nohl Crest Homes, Arthur Rutenberg Homes and Samuelsen Builders.

The Champions’ Club clubhouse will provide an intimate lounge, dining room, fully equipped fitness center, his-and-her locker facilities, a resort-style pool, sun deck and tennis courts. Community activities here will be coordinated by a club concierge.

The Champions’ Club adjoins the $1.5 billion master-planned community of Trinity, one of the largest communities of its kind in the Tampa Bay area. Trinity also is being developed by Adam Smith Enterprises.
