Land development complete in three Seven Oaks villages
DEC. 7, 2005
WESLEY CHAPEL, FLA. – Land development has wrapped up in the gated villages
of Crosswinds, Knollpoint and Stonecreek at Seven Oaks, an award-winning,
master-planned community in southeast Pasco County.
Single-family residences will be built on 54 Crosswinds homesites, 96
Knollpoint homesites and 47 Stonecreek homesites, says Craig Weber, general
manager of Seven Oaks. Homesites in Crosswinds and Stonecreek are 60 feet
wide, and residences in these two villages must provide at least 1,850
square feet of living space. Meanwhile, Knollpoint offers 50-foot-wide
homesites, and requires that homes provide a minimum of 1,500 square feet of
living space. Each village – surrounded by conservation areas and ponds –
will have a park and playground.
Sales are expected to begin early next year, while new-home pricing and
builders for these villages will be announced in the near future.
The Pasco Building Association has recognized Seven Oaks as Pasco County’s
best community and for having the best community amenities. This 3,000-home
community – off State Road 56 between Interstate 75 and Bruce B. Downs
Boulevard – has set aside
more than half its 2,000 acres for conservation areas, upland habitats,
parks and common areas. Seven Oaks Elmentary School opened last fall, and a
site has been set aside for a branch of the Pasco County library system.
Neighborhoods in Seven Oaks feature mini-parks, and the community’s
recreational centerpiece is a 17-acre clubhouse-and-sports complex. This
area features resort-style and junior-Olympic-size pools; a water slide; a
shallow-splash children’s water park and playground; five Har-Tru tennis
courts; soccer and baseball fields; and a 7,800-square-foot clubhouse.
Seven Oaks’ single-family homes range from the $300s to more than $900,000
including homesite and are being built by some of the Tampa Bay-area’s
best-known home builders. These include Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Avalon
Building Corp., KB Home, McCar Homes, Mercedes Homes, Nohl Crest Homes,
Smith Family Homes and Westfield Homes.
In addition to a wide variety of home designs, Seven Oaks offers several
apartment communities and will provide 500,000 square feet of retail and
office space.
Seven Oaks is being developed by Chicago-based Crown Community Development.
Part of the privately held Henry Crown Companies, Crown Community
Development has created master-planned communities in Illinois and Florida,
including The Bayou Club in Pinellas County, Fla. The Crown family has
diverse interests, including ownership of Rockefeller Center in New York
City; Aspen Skiing Co. in Colorado; and the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa in
California.
