Champions’ Club opens $4M clubhouse, facilities

TRINITY, FLA. –  Boasting Mediterranean-inspired architecture, the $4 million, 10,000-square-foot clubhouse and recreational facilities have opened at The Champions’ Club, an exclusive golf-course community in southwest Pasco County.

Accented by a barrel-tile roof, porte cochere and circular driveway set off by custom-designed metal gates, the clubhouse is the recreational centerpiece for this private community, says Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc., developer of The Champions’ Club.

Designed by the architectural planning and design firm of FleischmanGarcia (sic), the clubhouse features Tuscan-stone columns, arched windows and travertine-stone floors throughout its interior. Moreover, Aldridge adds, there are extensive vaulted and coffered pecky-cypress ceilings that are accented by wrought-iron chandeliers.

The clubhouse also provides an intimate foyer, fully equipped fitness center, as well as his-and-her locker facilities. At the rear of the building is a covered veranda – with cypress beams, trellises and stone columns – that has lawn and golf-course views. Landscape architect Phil Graham created the clubhouse and deck landscape design, which is accented by tall palms surrounding a 75-foot competition swimming pool and whirlpool spa.

Aside from the pool, outdoor amenities include a sun deck and two tennis courts.
The Champions’ Club is a gated golf-course community overlooking the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox Hollow Golf Club. More than half of this community’s 368 homesites will border the golf course, while many others will overlook nearly 45 acres of lakes, or heavily wooded conservation areas.

The Champions’ Club will comprise seven Mediterranean-themed villages. Homes in some villages must provide at least 2,850 square feet of living space, while other villages require homes with a minimum of 3,500 and 3,800 square feet of living space. Residential pricing will range from the $700s to more than $2 million including homesite.

Homes in The Champions’ Club are being built by Bayfair, Campagna Homes, Costanza Homes, Greene Builders, Mark Maconi Homes, Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Marc Rutenberg Homes and Samuelsen Builders.

To reach The Champions’ Club welcome center from Pinellas County, take East Lake Road north to Trinity Boulevard, turn right and drive three miles to The Champions’ Club entrance on the right. (From points north, take U.S. 19 south to Tarpon Springs Road and turn left.) Enter the community on Tamarind Boulevard, then turn left on Robert Trent Jones Parkway. Proceed to the village of Floresta on the right, turn in and follow signs to The Champions’ Club welcome center. Another route is to take Little Road south, and turn left on Trinity Boulevard.

From Tampa, take the Suncoast Parkway north to the State Road 54 exit and head west to Trinity Boulevard.
