Campagna begins $2.65M Villa Sorrento estate model
January 16, 2007

TRINITY, FLA. – Construction is under way on a $2.65 million Campagna Homes estate model – boasting a two-story, 20-foot-diameter rotunda with circular staircase – at The Champions’ Club in southwest Pasco County.

Located in the village of Florencia, the 5,763-square-foot, Mediterranean-style Villa Sorrento design has an elevator; five bedrooms; 5.5 baths; a three-car and separate one-car garage; as well as water and golf-course views, says Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc., the community’s developer. It also features extensive wood and marble flooring, crown molding and coffered ceilings.

The Villa Sorrento’s first floor has a 400-bottle wine cellar, a 13-by-16-foot octagonal office (with handcrafted wood ceiling detailing) and a formal dining room off the rotunda. Its living room is accented by a fireplace and a two-story glass wall overlooking the pool area and lanai. A gallery off the living room leads to an island kitchen with granite counter-tops, butler and walk-in pantries and a breakfast area adjoining the 20-by-24-foot family room with fireplace. Also on the first floor is a state-of-the-art, 16-by-21-foot media room with a bar; and a guest suite with a bath.

On the other side of the home is a 14-by-30-foot master suite wing with a sitting area, fireplace and lanai access. The 13-by-19-foot master bath – with dual vanities – separates his-and-her walk-in closets measuring 10 by 12 feet and 11 by 12 feet, respectively. A glass-walled shower with dual shower heads extends into a high-walled garden.

Upstairs are three bedrooms – each with a walk-in closet and private bath – an 18-by-22-foot game room, covered balcony and sun deck.

On the lanai is an outdoor living area with fireplace, fire pit and kitchen, while the ad-joining pool area has a free-form pool and spa.

More than half of 368 homesites at The Champions’ Club overlook a Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed golf course, nearly 45 acres of lakes or wooded conservation areas.

Residential pricing ranges from the $800s to more than $4 million including homesite.
