Resort-style amenities,
$4M clubhouse underway

APRIL 5, 2005

TRINITY, FLA. – Work has begun on the $4 million, 10,000-square-foot clubhouse as well as swimming-pool and tennis-court complexes at The Champions’ Club, a private, golf-course community in southwest Pasco County.

The clubhouse will feature Mediterranean-inspired architecture with barrel-tile roof, Tuscan stone columns, arched windows and travertine stone floors, says Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc., the community’s developer. It also will provide a catered dining area and state-of-the-art workout facility with his-and-her locker facilities. Community activities here will be coordinated by a club concierge.

The pool complex will feature a competition-size pool and an outdoor entertainment pavilion, while the tennis complex will provide two lighted courts. The tennis courts are separated by a canvas pavilion, and the complex is surrounded by a 10-foot-high fence with windscreens.

The 75-foot-long, heated swimming pool – with the community’s logo on the bottom and the adjoining spa will be accented by tall palm trees surrounding the colored paver pool deck. Other accents include cypress-beamed trellises and stone columns.

Located near the pool, the entertainment pavilion features a large communal fireplace, outdoor kitchen with grill, and restrooms. The pavilion will connect to the main clubhouse via a trellis-covered walkway.

Custom-designed wrought-iron fencing will surround the pool and entertainment areas that are next to a grass-covered event area for outdoor activities.

Construction is expected to be completed early next year.

The clubhouse and amenities were designed by the architectural, planning and design firm of FleischmanGarcia (sic) of Tampa, Safety Harbor and Sarasota.

The Champions’ Club overlooks the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox Hollow Golf Club. More than half of this community’s 368 homesites will border the golf course, while many others will overlook lakes or heavily wooded conservation areas.

The Champions’ Club will comprise seven Mediterranean-themed villages. Residential pricing ranges from the $400s to more than $2 million including homesite.

The Champions’ Club adjoins the $1.5 billion master-planned community of Trinity, also being developed by Adam Smith Enterprises.
