Mark Maconi Homes
selected to build in Florencia
DEC. 15, 2005
TRINITY, FLA. – With more than 30 years of experience in the Tampa Bay area home-building industry, Mark Maconi Homes has been selected to offer executive and estate residences in the exclusive village of Florencia at The Champions’ Club, a gated golf-course community in southwest Pasco County.
According to Dan Aldridge, vice president of Adam Smith Enterprises Inc., the com-munity’s developer, Mark Maconi Homes recently started its new-home sales program in Florencia, at the same time ground was broken on its first home here.
Priced from $1 million including homesite, residences in Florencia must provide at least 3,800 square feet of living space. Its 55 homesites – most overlooking the 18-hole championship golf course at Fox Hollow Golf Club, as well as lakes and conservation areas – are the largest in the community so far. Headquartered in Palm Harbor and founded by Mark Maconi in 1969, Mark Maconi Homes builds homes throughout the Tampa Bay area. Maconi and Peter Krauser, the company’s president, both served as president of the Contractors and Builders Association of Pinellas County – now part of the Tampa Bay Builders Association.
When completed, The Champions’ Club will comprise 368 homesites in seven Mediterranean-themed villages. Homes in some villages must provide at least 2,700 square feet of living space, while other villages require homes with a minimum of 3,800 square feet of living space. Residential pricing will range from the $750s to more than $2 million including homesite.
The Champions’ Club will feature a Mediterranean-style clubhouse with a resort-style pool, sun deck, tennis courts and a state-of-the-art workout facility with his-and-her locker facilities.
The community adjoins the $1.5 billion master-planned community of Trinity – also developed by Adam Smith Enterprises.
To reach The Champions’ Club welcome center from Pinellas County, take East Lake Road north to Trinity Boulevard, turn right and drive three miles to The Champions’ Club entrance on the right. (From points north, take U.S. 19 south to Tarpon Springs Road and turn left.) Enter the community on Tamarind Boulevard, then turn left on Robert Trent Jones Parkway. Proceed to the village of Floresta on the right, turn in and follow signs to The Champions’ Club welcome center. Another route is to take Little Road south, and turn left on Trinity Boulevard.
From Tampa, take the Suncoast Parkway north to the State Road 54 exit and head west to Trinity Boulevard.
