WHAT ARE THE RULES IN REGARD TO BRINGING FOOD AND BEVERAGE TO THE CLUBHOUSE OR POOL AREA? MAY WE HAVE MEALS CATERED IN?

You may bring food and beverages to the facility. Alcoholic beverages may be brought to the facility by members only for personal consumption or ordered from Fox Hollow Restaurant. Please see detailed information below regarding the alcohol policy. Catering needs may be handled by Fox Hollow Restaurant or an outside caterer. Please contact Sophia Brown, Assistant Club Director, at the clubhouse, (727) 375-8480, for a current list of local caterers. The poolside gas grill is available to reserve for your use as part of a private member function. Also, please remember, absolutely no glass on the pool deck. Broken glass would require closing the pool deck and, if necessary, draining the pool.

WHAT IS THE ALCOHOL POLICY FOR THE CHAMPIONS’ CLUB?

  1. The following alcohol policy has been put into place by the members and approved by the CCOA Board of Directors on the advice of The Champions’ Club insurance carrier and representing attorney.
  2. Individual resident members may bring alcoholic beverages onto Clubhouse property for personal consumption. Within the limits described, members may share beverages with their guests provided the group is less than 10 individuals (any combination of resident members and non-member guests). Examples of quantities for personal consumption for two adults might be: 1 bottle of wine; a bottle of hard alcohol plus mixers; a six pack of beer.
  3. For resident members-only functions of 10 or more, individual members may bring alcohol in limited quantities for shared consumption (using the quantity examples above). All attendees at the function must be Champions’ Club resident members.

For resident member functions (10 or more) that include any guests, all alcohol must be purchased from and served by a caterer with a liquor license, general liability insurance, liquor liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance. These are functions with 10 or more total attendees where a Member Function Agreement is required or where the Clubhouse acts as the sponsor.
Our longstanding Clubhouse definition of a party, requiring a Member Function Agreement, is 10 or more people. A “guest” is defined as a non-member (not permanently residing in The Champions’ Club), but invited and accompanied to the Clubhouse area by a member. Adults and children are counted together. By definition, then, a private member function with ten members and one guest would fall under item #3, requiring a licensed provider.

There may also be occasions when the restaurant will not be available to deliver orders due to special banquet events at their facility.

IS THERE A DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA?

There are no designated smoking areas in the Clubhouse area, which includes all areas enclosed by the outermost wall and fence that contains the pool/pool area, parking lot, lawn, tennis courts and surrounding areas. This is a smoke-free environment and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF SECURITY AT THE CLUBHOUSE?

There is a continuous video security monitoring system, which includes the Clubhouse, pool area, tennis courts, veranda and parking lot. Your member key card also provides security. When you scan your card at the Clubhouse front desk, we get an identity check and a record of your visit.
