Sembler Co. has confirmed that Publix Super Markets Inc. will anchor its Shoppes at Trinity Lake development.

Publix has signed a lease for a 45,600-square-foot store in the center, St. Petersburg-based Sembler said in a statement Friday. The total development is 76,000 square feet, in the southeast quadrant of State Road 54 and Trinity Boulevard in Trinity in southern Pasco County.

“Publix is a perfect fit for this area, and we’re looking forward to working with them again,” Josh Beyer, senior vice president of development at Sembler, said in a statement. “We’ve already signed leases with three additional tenants, and there’s a lot of interest in the remaining available space.”

Those tenants are Haircuttery, Majik Touch Cleaners and China Wok. About 12,200 square feet remains to be leased, the company said.

Lakeland-based Publix is planning to invest more than $1 billion in capital expenditures this year — including new stores, the company said in its annual report.
